The end of March sees the retirement of Barker Booth & Eastwood’s Head of Family Law, Anne Morley. Anne previously worked at JK Lawson & Co before moving to Barker Booth & Eastwood in 1990, qualifying as a Solicitor in 1996 and becoming a Partner in 1997.
Anne has always been a vociferous advocate for the theory that you don’t need to appoint a big city legal practice to get the result you need in a divorce case, even when the other side has instructed a big city firm. The results that Anne’s achieved on behalf of her clients over the years certainly support her theory.
Anne commented, “It never ceases to amaze me how often I’m acting for my client against a large legal firm from Manchester or Liverpool. Some people seem to think that there aren’t any good lawyers outside the big cities. We have the legal knowledge and experience right here in Blackpool. Barker Booth & Eastwood are local and give robust and sensible advice to achieve the best results for our clients”.
Anne’s passion and dedication to her clients has resulted in the excellent reputation that she has established in the locality and further afield. Anne’s retirement will allow her to dedicate far more time to golf than she’s currently able to and she has recently taken up the role of Vice Captain of Blackpool Park Golf Club.
Whilst Anne has played a very significant part of Barker Booth & Eastwood’s success over the years, her retirement will not see the company lacking in their Family Law expertise. Taking over as Head of Family Law will be Donna Amos. Donna joined the firm in 2017 and has been a Director and co-owner of Barker Booth & Eastwood since 2021.
The directors and staff at Barker Booth & Eastwood will be sad to see Anne retire after a long and successful career with the firm, but wish her a long, healthy, happy, and well deserved retirement.
