My name is Tim Fielding and I head up the Dispute Resolution Department which deals with a wide variety of civil disputes. I joined the firm in 1989, qualified as a solicitor in 1991 and have been a director since April 1997.
I am an experienced litigator and CEDR Accredited Mediator specialising in probate disputes, professional negligence claims, employment issues, commercial litigation, property disputes between unmarried co-owners and landlord and tenant issues.
I adopt a strategic approach to the cases I handle that from the outset focuses on delivering the client’s objectives whatever they may be in a cost effective way.

- A professional negligence claim against solicitors who failed to advise on limitation issues.
A claim by a builder for payment of his final account which was subject to a counterclaim by their customer in respect of alleged poor workmanship and/or overcharging.
Various claims by Canadian pilots for payment of monies due under the terms of their contract of employment when forced to give up work in Saudi Arabia.
Claims for provision under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
A dispute between siblings in relation to the validity of their late mother’s will.
A claim to set aside a fraudulently created will.
A dispute between an Executor appointed under a will which had been admitted to probate and a disappointed beneficiary who sought to have the Grant of Probate set aside on the grounds of capacity.
Outside of Work
I am a lifelong supporter of Blackpool FC, a past chairman and now Honorary Vice-President of Blackpool Supporters’ Trust. Between February and June 2019 I was a member of the Interim Board at Blackpool FC, one of the very few fan representative appointments in the English Football League, that oversaw the Club’s transition into new ownership. I am also part of the Seasiders Podcast team which broadcasts weekly during the season that has a bit of a following amongst the fanbase. Away from work (and football) I am a keen fell walker and love spending time in the Lakes or the Dales.
