I have been a member of the Family Department team since October 2006. I have experience of all areas of matrimonial and family law including divorce, financial issues arising on separation, private and public law child arrangement disputes and non-molestation proceedings. I’m a member of Resolution, a national organisation of family lawyers and other professionals committed to adopting a constructive approach to family law matters and achieving resolution outside of the Court arena where possible.
I assist the Director and Head of Department, Donna Amos, in her busy caseload in advising and assisting clients navigate their respective disputes. I often speak to clients verbally and in correspondence to obtain or provide information and explain processes in respect of the matter upon which we are instructed. I also prepare various legal documents such as Court Orders which conforms to current procedural rules in addition to statements, instructions to Experts and much more.
I am currently participating in the Solicitor Apprenticeship programme and will shortly qualify as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England & Wales.
I pride myself on attention to detail and ensuring that client’s expectations are managed at every stage. I appreciate the emotional turbulence which is navigated by our client’s when instructing us in issues surrounding family matters and I endeavour to provide structure, guidance and reassurance to ease those anxieties often experienced during a relationship breakdown.
Outside of Work
I am the appointed ‘Her Game Too’ Ambassador for my local football club, Fleetwood Town. I work alongside the club and the campaign to promote inclusivity for women and girls in football and in identifying areas for improvement for fan engagement. I attend all home game fixtures and am working my way through the EFL 92 ground-hop.
